The ribbon branch of the OMRS can trace its origins to the earliest days of the Society in 1942.
In fact the society was formed largely by ribbon collectors. Branch members have remained true to the specialist area of research and collecting of ribbons worldwide and associated ribbon emblems.
The branch meets twice a year in April and October at the Royal British Legion Club (Paddington) at St Stephens Gardens, London W2 5QX (0207 221 4664) between 1pm and 5pm. The bar opens at 12.00. The April meeting is normally a general meeting often with an auction of members lots.

The October meeting is the AGM, there is also an annual Pownall plate competition where members are invited to show any aspect of their collections, the winners name is inscribed on a plaque associated with the Silver plate. There is also usually a grand auction. The remaining meeting this year will be held on Sunday 14th October. Further dates can be obtained from the Branch Secretary.

Members are encouraged to contribute to the Ribbon Collector as long as their contribution is factually correct.
